Rachel Alioto, Naturopathic Doctor

Naturopathic Doctor, holistic, Edina, MN, Minnetonka, Shakopee, Minneapolis

Dr. Rachel always knew that she wanted to be a doctor, but throughout high school and college she struggled with severe stomachaches and weight loss. Despite numerous different tests, her medical doctor could not figure out what was wrong. Six years later she reached rock bottom and knew something needed to change. Through her health journey, she was inspired to find a more individualized and holistic way of healing which led her to naturopathic medicine. She decided to become a Naturopathic Doctor, which soon became her passion.

Dr. Rachel grew up in Northern California with her parents and older sister. She played volleyball and was a swimmer in high school which lead her to be interested in athletics and staying healthy. Dr. Rachel attended the University of Minnesota where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science and a minor in Spanish.

She attended one of the seven accredited naturopathic medical schools, National University of Health Sciences In Illinois. There, she spent 3 years in classes and 1 year in clinicals interning in both Illinois and California. She is board-certified and licensed in the state of Minnesota.

Dr. Rachel takes the time to listen and understand each patient’s unique condition in order to create a personalized treatment plan. Her goal is to heal, teach and inspire each person to be an advocate for his or her own health. Treatments are designed to address the whole body and stimulate the body’s self-healing processes to allow for the body, mind and spirit to attain balance and heal.

Dr. Rachel looks forward to helping you find a balance in your life by providing naturopathic care. Dr. Rachel will be in our Edina location on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Hi!  Thanks for the response.  I just wanted to share that after only 4+ days on the low FODMAP diet, I feel better than I have in months. THANK YOU!

You recently saw my daughter, and I just wanted to give you an update. She already seems to be doing much better! She is sleeping well and is not nearly as tired as she was before. Of course she isn’t 100% but I feel like we are on the right path. Thank you for that!

Dr. Alioto was the first Naturopathic doctor I have seen and she has more than set the standard for care! Dr. Alioto took me in as patient during an emotionally stressful time and was able to quickly help me get relief with homeopathy and manipulation among other therapies. More importantly, however, it was Dr. Alioto’s kindness and generosity that made me confident in her healing knowledge. Dr. Alioto’s success stems from her incredible attitude about her patients and the healing process by understanding that each individual is unique, and everyone benefits when love and care are integrated into therapy! I highly recommend Dr. Rachel Alioto!

  3. I am a 56 year-old woman who is postmenopausal and has struggled with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis for over 30 years. I’ve seen numerous doctors who all tried something different. I am currently taking estrogen testosterone progesterone thyroid medication and about 10 other supplements. I eat gluten-free dairy-free I exercise I’m out in nature and try to reduce my stress. I don’t feel like Ryan doctor is able to dial in on my specific problems and feel that I am sicker than when I first saw her 6 months ago.
I have spent thousands of dollars over many years with many doctors trying to unravel the mystery of living with Hashimoto’s disease.
What might you do differently if anything to help me?
Would you still prescribe medications and are you familiar with using compounded thyroid and hormone creams?
I don’t think there are any other more natural substitutes for these things?
    Any advice?

I would love to hear your comments :)
